Alberto Murino
Dr. Alberto Murino qualified in medicine and surgery in Italy, becoming a specialist in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroenterology MRCP equivalent) in 2009.
Between 2010 and 2014 he completed three prestigious endoscopy fellowships in internationally renowned Institutions, where he was trained in various fields of advanced endoscopy.

2. Department of Gastroenterology, Hepato-Pancreatology and Digestive Oncology at Erasme Hospital, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium. 2012 –2013.
3. Department of Gastroenterology at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Nagoya University Hospital, Nagoya, Japan. 2013 –2014.
He then worked as a consultant gastroenterologist in one of the most prestigious endoscopy units in Europe, Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Milan, Italy, before joining the gastroenterology department at the Royal Free Hospital in 2016, where he currently works as a gastroenterology consultant with a special interest in endoscopy.
Dr. Alberto Murino is an honorary associate professor at the UCL Institute for Liver and Digestive Health and currently coordinates the gastroenterology centre of the Institute for Liver and Digestive Health.
He was awarded a research prize, the Oral Free Paper Prize, during UEG Week in Vienna in October 2014 for a research project developed during his fellowship in Japan, “Effectiveness of endoscopic ultrasonography during double balloon enteroscopy for suspected small bowel tumours,” by Murino A, et al.
He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in international peer-reviewed gastroenterology journals (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=alberto+murino&sort=pubdate).
Furthermore, he is a reviewer for the top endoscopy peer-reviewed journals Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Endoscopy.
He is co-director of one of the largest international endoscopy conferences, the International Advanced Endoscopy Masterclass London, and he is often invited to national and international conferences as faculty member.
Dr Alberto Murino is part of the educational committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and the international committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He also a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) and the Italian Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (SIED).
