     The therapeutic area of GI endoscopy is advancing day by day and is becoming a challenge with the advent of new technologies and techniques.

   The Romanian Society of Digestive Endoscopy in collaboration with the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology Hepatology Prof. Dr. "O. Fodor" Cluj-Napoca is pleased to invite you to attend the second edition of the Digestive Endoscopy Workshop that will be held in Cluj-Napoca between the 24th and the 26th of November 2011. Our workshop subjects are very exciting and follow the trend of today's top technologies and endoscopic dissection, drainage of extradigestive collections, biliary stones and gastrointestinal bleeding treatment.

We all wish that the outcome of this event will be an opportunity for new collaborations in the inter and trans disciplinary field of diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Endoscopic clips

Hands On - on November 24, 2011 starting with 1.30 P.M., at the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology Hepatology Prof. Dr. "O. Fodor " a course of endoscopic clips on pig stomach will take place. Participation is limited, so the first 16 teams of doctors and nurses who will subscribe will be able to participate in this course.

This scientific event is offered free by the TEMPCO company.

The registration form will be available online starting with October 5, 2011.
Participants who will register for this course must also register for participation at the workshop, by completing the appropriate form of registration and by paying the workshop fee.

Course on Simbionix GI Mentor II

Dear Colleagues,

          "Digestive Endoscopy Cluj 2011" Workshop will be proceeded by several hands-on courses, on Thursday 24rd of November 2011, at the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Prof. Dr. "O.Fodor" Cluj – Napoca, 19 -23, Croitorilor Street. Starting with 11.00 a.m. these hands-on courses will be held using the Simbionix GI Mentor II simulator. For the first 20 registered participants the hands-on courses are free of charge.           Diagnostic and therapeutic digestive endoscopy using simulation - GI MENTOR II machine. Inferior and superior digestive endoscopy modules, emergency bleeding control, diagnostic endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP. The participants will be able to practice polypectomy, injection of sclerotic agents, endoscopic sphincteromy, lithotripsy and extraction of gallstones from the common bile duct, common bile duct stenting.
